2026年2月21日(土)より京都国立博物館 茶室の堪庵にて、品川亮の個展「ひとの多い方へ」を開催いたします。
内覧日の2月20日(金)は品川が在廊する予定です。
※20日(金)は、AFKの内覧会招待者のみ入場可能
本展のテーマは「旅」です。 展示は墨絵を中心に、衝立、屏風、障子など、建築とともに発展してきた形態を取り入れた作品によって構成されます。個展会場は、江戸時代初期の京都における公家文化の系譜を受け継ぐ数寄屋造りの茶室であり、抑制された明かりの中では墨の濃淡や滲み、和紙の質感が際立ちます。その不明瞭な輪郭や余白は、旅の途上の感覚や時間の連なりを想起させるとともに、作品の形態からは建築と絵画の歴史的つながりを感じさせます。 本展は、個々の作品の鑑賞にとどまらず、展示空間全体を通じて鑑賞者が「旅」をするように移動し、時間と空間の連続性を追う構造的な鑑賞体験を提示するものです。

Shinagawa’s solo exhibition “Toward where people gather” will be held at the Tan'an Tea House of the Kyoto National Museum starting Saturday, August 21, 2026.
The artist is scheduled to be present at the preview on Friday, August 20. ※On the 20th (Friday), only invited guests for the AFK preview event may enter.
The theme of this exhibition is journey. The exhibition will be composed mainly of ink paintings – artworks which incorporate formats that have developed alongside architecture, such as partitions, folding screens and sliding doors. The exhibition venue is a tea-ceremony house built in sukiya-zukuri (a traditional Japanese architectural style) which inherits the aristocratic culture of Kyoto of the early Edo period; under the reserved lighting, the contrast and bleeding of ink, and texture of washi paper becomes prominent. The obscure outlines and space evoke sensations and sequences of time as if amidst a journey, and from the format of the artwork – the historical connection between architecture and painting. This exhibition offers a structured viewing experience that follows the continuity of time and space, as well as viewing individual artworks, as the viewer travels through the entire exhibition space as if they are on a journey.
